Wednesday 15th September – bike *** – Around Felixstowe with lunch by the River Deben at the Ferry – mainly cloudy.

Mainly cloudy with brief glimpse of sunshine, usual morning exercises in the back garden with Mag making her cold frames slug proof and sorting out the lavender. Then I heat up some of Mags yummy homemade squash soup with a roll and we set of on our bikes to have it by the River Deben near Felixstowe Ferry. With the wind from the north, it was a pleasant ride along the prom feeling really mild too, getting quieter as we approached our picnic spot. The wind seemed stronger than forecast but not a good direction to sail and we enjoyed lunch but no boats on the river mainly because the tide was pretty low! Then up to the Ferry, through the boat yard and out onto the Deben path which gets bumpier everytime we come! Turning off at Kings Fleet we take Marsh Lane leading to The Grove where we lose each other so make it home at slightly different times! Sue our hairdresser comes and I still have fairly long hair! With it being Mags 61st Birthday tomorrow we hope to pack a picnic and go for a walk along the Stour with the weather looking good too :)
